Service Description

This extensive package includes everything midwifery and I have to offer: one to one tailored antenatal sessions, labour and birth support with two dedicated midwives, and postnatal care until your little one is 6 weeks old, all in the comfort and safety of your own home. ANTENATAL CARE We will create a unique plan suited to your individual needs. Full antenatal appointments can include routine midwifery examinations such as blood pressure monitoring, urinalysis, measuring your baby’s growth, and listening to their heart rate. However, most of our time will be spent discussing and preparing for each new stage of pregnancy, birth preparation and planning, and the opportunity to delve into what makes you feel strong and empowered in this journey and beyond. Comprehensive booking appointment (approximately 2 hours) and regular home visits from early pregnancy until birth (1.5–2 hours each). Antenatal appointments offered as a minimum from 16 (20, 25, 28, 31,34, 36, 38, 39, 40, 41) - 42+ weeks, with additional visits as needed. Dedicated birth planning session around 36 weeks with entire birth team LABOUR & BIRTH I will be on-call for your birth 24/7 from 37 weeks to birth, and will provide support during early labour via telephone and in-person assessment if required. I will come and be by your side when you want, until your baby arrives, and stay with you for at least 2 to 4 hours until you are both settled. At the birth and in the immediate postnatal period, you will be attended to by your second midwife, who you will have had the opportunity to meet antenatally. There are many birth pool hire schemes and I can help you access this if that's what you would prefer. However you would need to source accessories such as a liner, hose and pump. I also can provide comfort measures and pain relief such as a TENS machine, massage, aromatherapy, and entonox (gas and air) if required. AFTER BABY ARRIVES The postnatal period is a time filled with awe and wonder but also challenges of profound change. I’ll be there to support you through these early weeks, offering flexible appointment times and being available between visits via WhatsApp. My postnatal care is comprehensive and personalised to meet your needs at each visit. Typically I will see you at home every day the first week after birth, then every other day in the second week, twice in the third and fourth weeks, and weekly in the fifth and sixth week.
