Service Description
This extensive package includes everything midwifery and I have to offer: one to one tailored antenatal sessions, labour and birth support with two dedicated midwives, and postnatal care until your little one is 6 weeks old, all in the comfort and safety of your own home. I will be on-call for your birth 24/7 from 37 weeks to birth, and will provide support during early labour via telephone and in-person assessment if required. I will come and be by your side when you want, until your baby arrives, and stay with you for at least 2 to 4 hours until you are both settled. At the birth and in the immediate postnatal period, you will be attended to by your second midwife, who will have had the opportunity to meet antenatally. This support from another midwife is invaluable, whether to relieve me for a rest during a longer labour or to be an extra set of hands if complexities arise. I will provide you with a birth pool, including accessories such as a liner, hose and pump if desired. I also can provide comfort measures and pain relief such as a TENS machine, massage, aromatherapy, entonox (gas and air) and a range of pharmacological options.
